What do I wear to practice?
Any swimsuit works, girls should wear a one piece suit. The best suit for guys is the jammer or a speedo type suit. For meets, a snug fitting suit is important to decrease drag in the water. We do have an optional team suit that would be worn for meets.

What do I need for practice?
Swimmers should have goggles. Girls, especially those with long hair, should wear a team cap. We sell goggles and caps at practice. Bring a towel to practice. Put your name on everything you bring to the pool. Water is a good idea during very hot weather.

What do parents do during practice?
Socialize! Parents need to check family folders and read the bulletin boards every day at the pool. We also offer opportunities for parents to swim as well.
Parent are not allowed on deck or in certain areas around the pool during practice.

What if there is bad weather?
Practice will be delayed or canceled when there is lightning or thunder. We must wait 20-30 minutes after any lightning/thunder before swimmers may enter the water. We will swim during light rain showers.
You can setup your phone to recieve a text message if practice is canceled. Short updates about canceling practice and events will be posted to Twitter. This shows on the front page of our website. Also, by "following" Aquadillos at Twitter you can setup your phone to recieve a text message.

Must we come to the warm up before the meet?
Absolutely. The swimmer needs to warm up and become familiar with the pool. A check in time will be posted for each meet on the meet schedule page. Swimmers arriving after the check in time may not be able to swim. Coach Carla must turn in the final listing of events each swimmer will enter a little bit before the meet even begins. Swimmers not checked in will be replaced or "scratched" from the meet.

Where is the meet sign up book?
The sign up book will be located on the picnic tables at the entrance to the Williams Drive pool. Meet sign up books will open about one week before the sign up deadline. Always check the date on the book to be certain you are signing up for the correct meet.
